    Managed care – Managed care insurance plans are centered around a network of health providers and offer incentives to stay in-network for health care. Members of a managed care plan must see a primary care physician before getting a referral to a specialist. Managed care includes Health Maintenance Organizations (HMOs), Preferred Provider Organizations (PPOs), Exclusive Provider Organizations (EPOs) and Point of Service health care plans (POS).
